Tips to keep your skin hydrated

Having trouble with dehydrated skin? Don’t know what to do? We are here to help!

But first, let’s clarify the difference between dry and dehydrated skin. In our everyday lives we might interchange the two words and mean the same thing, but there is actually a huge difference between dry and dehydrated skin.

Dry skin is caused because your skin does not produce enough sebum. While you might think that sebum is bad, it actually protects and keeps your skin moisturized. Too much sebum can lead to breakouts but we all need some on our skin.

Then again, dehydrated skin is caused because there is not enough water which means that you might have dehydrated skin whether your complexion is oily or dry.

Here are some tips you can follow to boost your skin’s hydration:

 – Eat well and drink plenty of water. You’ve probably already heard this one, but do you actually drink enough water?

 – Protect your skin from the sun even when you don’t think it’s too sunny or warm outside.

 – Clean your skin and exfoliate regularly to help remove the dead skin cells from the top layer of the skin which might be blocking active ingredients from penetrating your skin.

 – Use a moisturizing cream, like Origanum’s Moisturizing Face Cream for all skin types, to help retain moisture on your skin longer.
